Dame Prue Leith will cook for Saturday morning on ITV1 in the new year with new series Prue Leith’s Cotswold Kitchen.

Set in her own Cotswolds home kitchen, Leith will celebrate and cook some of her all-time favourite dishes. Alongside her right-hand man and husband, John, she will share top kitchen hacks and culinary short-cuts to help simplify cooking.

The ten-part series will see Prue treat viewers to an array of dishes, from easy-to- make mid-week meals, to dinner party-inspired dishes.

Along the way, John will share a few of his own gems of wisdom garnered from their years of country living – from showing viewers how best to grow and harvest your own fruit and veg to how to whip up the perfect ‘wow factor’ gin martini.

In each episode, Prue will invite a special guest into her home kitchen to cook and share one of their favourite recipes. As they sit down to enjoy the dish around the family table, they will talk about everyday issues that may be especially pertinent to them.

Leith will also celebrate a cast of Food Heroes throughout the series; impressive entrepreneurs in the Cotswolds and around the UK who make delicious products that she’ll showcase in dishes for her and John to enjoy.

Commissioned by Leanne Clarke for ITV Entertainment, it is produced by independent production company Yeti. The series will be exec-produced by Siân Price & Sarah Stevenson, with Sara Allen as Series Producer & Director.

The series will be distributed internationally by DCD Rights”

Prue Leith said: “All in all Prue’s Cotswold Kitchen is about the things that matter to me in my dotage: family, friends, home, farm and food. And I’m such an egotist, I’m looking forward to sharing them all with the world.”

Leanne Clarke, ITV Entertainment said: “I am thrilled for us to be invited into Prue Leith’s Cotswold Kitchen for an ITV1 Daytime first! Having the legend that is Dame Prue Leith on our screens from her own home every Saturday morning, sharing never before heard anecdotes and many of her all-time favourite recipes is a real treat that will show the culinary icon in a whole new light. Let’s get cooking!”

Sarah Stevenson, Yeti Television said: “It’s a real privilege to be making this series alongside Prue and ITV. Prue is such a talented, inspirational woman and natural raconteur, we can’t wait to share all her fascinating tips and tales with viewers.”
