Winnersh Studios in Wokingham, operated by Stage Fifty, has gone into administration citing cashflow issues following the writers and actors’ strikes in the US last year.
The facility recently hosted Kraven the Hunter and Ghost Busters Frozen Empire.
Interpath Advisory has been appointed as administrator. The studios remain open and investors say that they remain committed to Stage Fifty’s vision.
Winnersh was given the green light by planners last year to extend by demolishing two warehouses on its site at Winnersh Triangle Business Park in Berkshire and replacing them with a sound stages.
Stage Fifty’s facilities in the UK also include Farnborough Studios. In 2023 it received permission for a further site in High Wycombe.
