Stirling based Wild Child Animation has entered administration.

The studio, founded in 2020 by CEO Sueann Rochester, COO Ron Henry, Creative Directors Will Adams and Rory Lowe, and Finance Director Michael McKeirnan, has appointed Gordon McIntyre and Donald McKinnon of Wbg Services LLP as Joint Administrators of Wild Child Animation Limited on 26 February.

The company is continuing to trade whilst a buyer is sought for the business.

Wild Child is currently working for Magic Light Pictures on the upcoming series of Zog, based on the Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler picture books.

Magic Light Pictures is currently paying employee and contractor costs on the Zog contract for a limited period.

Since 2020, Wild Child has produced hours of content for partners including Warner Bros., BBC, and Sky, receiving accolades such as the British Animation Award for Best Children’s Series, BAFTA Scotland Award for Best Entertainment Programme, and a Kidscreen Award.

Recent projects include Piri Penguins (52×11) for Eaglet Films/CBeebies and Jaime’s Yoga Adventures for Zodiak Kids/Sky Kids.
