UKTV’s comedy entertainment channel Dave, has commissioned UKTV Original Adam Richman: Supperman (12×60’), a new food and travel format which sees a host of famous guests taste Richman’s imaginative overhaul on their favourite dishes.

Adam Richman: Supperman is produced by Whizz Kid Entertainment (part of Entertainment One) and will see Adam Richman play host to one guest each episode, who’ll arrive armed with their favourite starter, main and dessert: the menu they would choose if it was their last meal on Earth. Once he’s had a taste and found out why these dishes are so special to his guest Adam will set off in search of the finest ingredients to impress his guests by transforming their favourite dishes into their ultimate last supper.

Adam Richman said: “I am beyond excited to dive intoAdam Richman: Supperman. What I think sets this show apart from everything I have done in the past, is that I’ve been flying solo on all of my epic food journeys, and the itinerary was based upon my tastes.  But here I’m joined by fun, passionate, celebrity foodies and the dishes I find will be based upon the things they love to cook and eat. In the end, I get to use what talents, knowledge, and expertise I have acquired along the way, to make the foods, flavours and feasts they dream about, a reality.  And after all, isn’t bringing people joy and fulfilment with the food we serve what it’s all about?”

Adam Richman: Supperman is commissioned by Iain Coyle, UKTV head of comedy and senior commissioning editor Helen Nightingale. The series is ordered by Luke Hales, Dave channel director. Richard Watsham is the UKTV director of commissioning and Steve North is the genre general manager, comedy and entertainment. Executive producers for Whizz Kid Entertainment are Lisa Chapman, Genevieve Dolittle and Tom Edwards. Coyle and Nightingale will executive produce for UKTV. The series will be distributed by BBC Studios Distribution.

Iain Coyle said: “I’m very keen to have a set visit, on this one. Not just to sample the amazing food and meet the good people from Whizz Kid but also to see Adam in action. But, yeah, I’ll be visiting around lunch time.”

Luke Hales added: “We are massive fans of Adam Richman and have been since the brilliantMan v Food, the fact we have managed to get Adam on the channel, alongside some of ourfavourtie comeidans has got us all seriouslyexcitied at Dave HQ. Between this, Big Zuu’s Big Eats and Eddie Eats America the commissioning team are building a brilliant slate of food shows on the channel all with some tasty comedy seasoning.”

Lisa Chapman, Managing Director for Whizz Kid Entertainment commented: “This format has something for everyone – mouth-watering food, entertaining celebrities and of course the inimitable Adam Richman.  We are so pleased to be working with Adam again and have long wanted to collaborate with Iain and Helen at UKTV too. Our team might all put on a few pounds delivering the series but it will all be worth it.”
