Post house West Digital has announced the launch of West Digital Smart Ingest, a platform designed to “streamline post-production workflows and enhance creative efficiency.”

WD Smart Ingest uses artificial intelligence and machine learning to automate time-consuming tasks such as ingest, tracking, transcription, and visual content identification.

Key features include Paper Edit to work with words instead of timecodes; Advanced Transcription that creates a full transcript from rushes allowing searches for specific words or phrases; Intelligent Visual Search to find the exact shot needed by typing in a word or phrase and Streamlined Deliverables to create draft DPP synopses, shot lists, and more.
