TV schedules on the BBC, ITV and Channel 4 have been changed, following the news of the Queen’s death yesterday afternoon.

BBC One is featuring rolling coverage, with BBC News taking over until 6:30 pm. BBC Two has also been rescheduled.

The BBC is also cancelling proms this evening and The Last Night of the Proms, due to take place tomorrow, Saturday 10th . In a statement, the BBC described the move as “a mark of respect.”

ITV began coverage today with a special edition of Good Morning Britain and will also run coverage dedicated to Queen Elizabeth and the new King Charles III throughout the day. At 8.30pm, Jonathan Dimbleby will present a tribute to the Queen, Queen Elizabeth II – The Longest Reign, detailing her lifelong service to the country and its people (pictured).

Channel 4 scheduling has been changed until 9pm, with regular Channel 4 News specials throughout the day.

King Charles will address the nation at 6 pm, which will be broadcast by both ITV and the BBC, as well as on other news channels.
