The government has today removed advertising production, television production and high-end television production and film from its list of jobs that qualify for exemptions from travel restrictions.

Before today, key on- and off-screen talent was exempt from self isolating upon arrival as long as individuals stayed within a bubble. Now, cast and production talent will not be able to begin work immediately upon arrival.

The Government has removed all current travel corridors and and has taken several creative sectors off the list of exemptions including journalists and performing arts professionals alongside TV, film and ad production workers.

The new rules mean that from 4am this morning, all international arrivals who departed from or transited through any country outside the Common Travel Area in the previous 10 days will be required to take a pre-departure test and self isolate immediately for ten days upon arrival.
