It is with great sadness that dock10 announces the death of one of its brightest talents, Studio Manager, Sinead Sweeney. Sinead passed away peacefully surrounded by friends and family in London, following a short illness.

Joining dock10 from its inception in 2011, Sinead’s unique style, passion, enthusiasm, and desire to deliver the best for everyone gave her a natural ability to handle complex projects, making her one of the most trusted studio managers in the business. During her career she helped deliver some of the biggest entertainment shows on television, including The Voice, 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, A Question of Sport and Dragons’ Den.

Mark Senior, CEO of dock10, said: “Sinead was a much-loved member of the team and will be deeply missed by everybody who worked with her. Her contribution to dock10 will never be forgotten, she will forever form part of our DNA. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family, friends and colleagues.”

Patrick Steel, Commercial Director at dock10, added: “The passing of Sinead so young is a profound loss. It is hard to put into words just how special she was and the impact she had on everyone who knew her. Rest peacefully dear Sinead, you will forever be missed.”

Programme makers who worked with Sinead have also paid tribute.

David Smyth, Commissioner (Entertainment) at ITV, said “So sad to hear this, Sinead was a fantastic colleague to everyone at The Voice UK at Dock 10 and we’ll all miss her enormously.”

Ceri Aston said “She was always smiling, calm and super professional.  Loved working with her on @dragonsden A huge loss x”

Sam & Mark said: “This is so sad. Sinead was so lovely and we really enjoyed working with her on shows at CBBC. She will be missed x”

 

Sinead Sweeney’s Funeral will be in Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Wanstead, London at 11am on Tuesday 7th September. The service will also be streamed online at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wB8GtOI4OVg Many thanks for all of the kind thoughts and messages.
