Awesome Media & Entertainment, the production outfit founded by writer-producer Jeff Norton, has hired Jane Steventon as Producer to work across UK scripted, focusing on both children’s and adult content.

Steventon’s credits include The Story of Tracy Beaker and the film Tracy Beaker’s ‘The Movie of Me’, as well as producing UK dramas Hollyoaks Later and Casualty. Steventon will be working directly with Norton across the company growing the development slate of both original and adapted IP.

Steventon will lead Awesome’s adaptation of the literary novel ‘The Last Wave’ together with ex-BBC Studios executive Fraser Robinson and develop television adaptations of Awesome’s best-selling book series ‘Princess Ponies’ and ‘MetaWars.’

The appointment marks Awesome’s first since taking investment from global content company Kew Media Group. With Kew’s backing, Awesome is growing its scripted development both in the UK and internationally.
