Tilda Swinton has joined the cast of Netflix movie,  The Ballad of a Small Player, alongside the previously announced Colin Farrell.

Directed by Edward Berger (All Quiet on the Western Front, Your Honor), The Ballad of a Small Player is written by Rowan Joffé (28 Weeks Later, The American) and based on the 2014 novel of the same name by Lawrence Osborne.

“When his past and his debts start to catch up with him, a high-stakes gambler laying low in Macau encounters a kindred spirit who might just hold the key to his salvation.”

The movie is being produced by Mike Goodridge for Good Chaos, Edward Berger for Nine Hours and Matthew James Wilkinson for Stigma Films.

Good Chaos is a UK based production outfit with credits including Triangle Of Sadness, Sisu, this year’s Berlin prizewinner Some Rain Must Fall, Baltasar Kormakur’s upcoming Touch for Focus Features as well as Santosh, which is playing in Un Certain Regard in Cannes this year. 

The Ballad of a Small Player will shoot on location in Asia in Summer 2024
