Tiger Aspect Kids & Family is to make a fifth series of live action children’s comedy, Danny & Mick, for CBBC.

The physical comedy show follows the antics of Danny and his very big little brother Mick, and in this series, they’ve moved to a new leisure centre as Danny blew up the last one – “Acciderrrnt!!” But to their surprise, their old boss Joy, played by Nina Wadia, is back to keep them in check. Danny and Mick are continuing to cause mayhem and mess, with some bigger stunts and epic silly stories including a high-wire act, an exploding sauna, cutting a caravan in half and the use of a human cannon to dust the ceiling of the sports hall!

The show stars real life half-brothers Danny Adams and Mick Potts. The series is currently filming in the North East.

Tom Beattie, MD, Tiger Aspect Kids & Family says: “I love Danny & Mick and it’s a joy to be getting messy once again with the leisure centre legends for a brand-new series!”

Danny Adams and Mick Potts said: “Silliness and slapstick is what we do best and we’re really looking forward to doing more of that for CBBC in this new series!”

The series was commissioned by Sarah Muller, BBC Children’s Head of Commissioning and Acquisitions 7+, and will be executive produced by Tom Beattie for Tiger Aspect Kids & Family, and Melissa Hardinge for CBBC. The series is head written by Ciaran Murtagh and Andrew Barnett Jones, produced by Helen Burt and directed by Jonathan Gershfield.

Danny & Mick is distributed by Zodiak Kids & Family Distribution.
