The Mill has taken the top spot in the annual Televisual Facilities 50 survey for the eleventh year in a row.
Now in its 32nd year, Televisual’s Facilities 50 survey exclusively reveals the 50 post facilities that currently rule the roost in UK post production.
The Mill gets to number one on the cusp of its own 30th birthday next year and says it is ”no longer defined as a post-production facility. We design and direct our own content, we are inventors of digital and physical experiences and experts in creative technology”, arguing it is “constantly seeking to challenge the way content is crafted and consumed.”
In second place is MPC, which says it had a year where it “continues to be awarded with high-end feature, episodic and advertising work and we’re winning awards across all.”
Third placed Framestore also had an “exciting year of growth” both in the “core business and newer areas of immersive and corporate.”
The Producer Poll, our poll of the post houses’ clients, saw The Mill take the top spot this time. Producers voted for the facility because of its “polished, beautiful films” and its “incredible work” describing it as “leading edge” as well as “professional and creative”
The Peer Poll, where the post houses vote for the rival companies they particularly admire was won by Framestore with rival companies describing it as “awesome sauce” and praising its “incredible” and “critically acclaimed” work, its “international outlook,” and the “client service” from its “established and trusted team” and for “developing talent” and “selling the UK as a post/VFX destination.”
