The Farm Group’s Bristol arm, The Farm West, has hired Tana Beynon in a business development and project management role and has upgraded its facilities on the Whiteladies Road site.

Tana Beynon most recently worked for Evolutions as Post Producer, and previously Big Bang and Films@59. She will work alongside existing project manager, Eoghan Bennett.

The facility has also upgraded its technical infrastructure. An Avid NEXIS server has been installed, offering shared edit storage across the site, while a Synology DiskStation was chosen for nearline storage. The facility’s back-up and archiving system has also been upgraded to LTO-7. Syncdat was chosen for transferring media over the company’s high-speed fibre connection to other sites in London, Salford and LA and Source Connect has been installed to facilitate remote VO records or attendance.

Head of Operations at The Farm West, Duncan Armstrong, said, “It has been a fabulous first year for The Farm West, establishing ourselves in the heart of the Bristol media scene. The recent hiring of Tana is one of several potential new hires and our recent infrastructure changes just the first tranche of new investment we foresee for 2018. We are looking forward to an exciting future in Bristol.”

The Farm opened the building in spring 2016 after 12 years operating out of other Bristol locations. It has recently worked on content for production companies including BBC Studios, Hat Trick Productions, Cats on the Roof Media and Endemol. The facility has just entered into a new partnership with Label1 Productions, who have taken up office space within the Whiteladies Road site.
