The ATS Team, the London and LA company behind set design and builds for entertainment shows has announced its first original competition show commission, Clash of Trades.

The series aims to promote the US domestic trades industry for the USA’s Department of Defense and the not-for-profit organisation Global Learning Accelerator’s Project MFG.

Clash of Trades is a tournament-style skills series that sees teams from across the United States undertake world-class skills challenges reflective of modern manufacturing demands in order to win a grand prize of $100,000.

The series is now available to watch via Project MFG’s YouTube channel here: https://youtu.be/TqZJOeSN8Q4

Mike Woodward, VP Development and Production, The ATS Team says “Clash of Trades is part of a new type of media that blends branded marketing commercial and original reality competition TV together. ATS brought our storytelling and competition expertise to create a series that in part is entertaining to watch but also helps cover a more serious issue facing America’s trades workforce. We believe brands will continue to expand their use of TV entertainment to enhance their market position to reach the right audiences creatively.

Ray Dick, Co-Founder of Project MFG adds “ATS has been a perfect match. They’re known for their work in a similar highly skilled area of their entertainment industry. Clash of Trades has been upgraded into a highly engaging series and we are confident it will speak to our audience. This is one of many steps to help shine a light on the importance of Trades in our country and to close a skills gap that may leave more than 2 million position unfilled if more young people don’t enter the skilled trades.

The ATS Team’s production services include creating challenge and stunt design rigging, underwater and high-angle life safety, set-shop construction, special effects, staging and truss rentals, and live production.
