You can watch the Televisual Village Fete wrap film on this page.

The Televisual Village Fete is the largest gathering of the UK post, VFX and studios community in the year with close to 500 guests and sponsors in attendance.

This year we held the fete in the magnificent Regent’s University gardens on the Southern tip of Regent’s Park in Central London with glorious Summer weather.

The 2’27” wrap film was shot on a Sony Burano mounted on Motion Impossible’s incredibly flexible Agito mobile dolly (with additional photography by Jonathan Perugia). The film was graded on site by Mission’s Kevin Shaw on the new Sony BVM-HX3110 monitor allowing guests to see incredibly vivid images at 4,000 nits. Working with RePro Stream we were able to remotely connect the grade for further review on Sony PVM monitors at 1,000 nits, with all the monitors being supplied and supported by Big Pic Media. A further demonstration of VFX pulls was provided by Origami.

The village fete consumption in numbers:

350 half pizzas (with the truffle pizza being the most popular) thanks to East On Media Solutions
300 posh hot dogs were served with the support of Salon
48 bottles of Champagne at the HHB and Avid bar
30 bottles of Pimm’s with 14 bottles of Gin and 56 litres of lemonade to make 87 litres of Pimm’s at the Editshare bar
12 bottles of Aperol with 24 bottles of Prosecco and eight litres of soda water to make 37 litres of Aperol Spritz from the Perifery stall where guests were invited to find Wally.
Eight litres of vodka with 18 litres of ginger beer to make 26 litres of Moscow Mule were consumed at the same bar.
12 bottles of white wine
12 bottles of red wine
528 bottles of Peroni
288 bottles of Asahi all from the Jigsaw24 Media and Avid stall.

(In total that’s over 470 litres.)

Diversions came in the form of a table tennis tournament sponsored by LucidLink, a table football Euros-themed competition sponsored by Sohonet, along with air hockey sponsored by Symply and shuffleboard sponsored by Big Pic Media.

A village fete should always have a heart and ours is no exception. We hosted a raffle with sponsors donating incredible prizes including bottles and magnums of Champagne and Nyetimber from our sponsors AKA Design, BMG, East On Media, FilmLight, Post Super, RePro Stream and Tysers Live and privately donated by Geraldine Scher (from Clockwork Capital) and Duncan Payne (from Adamantean) with headline prizes including a half case of fine wine from Convergent DS, a half case of Champagne from the Dot Group, a T Tap Pro from AJA and DigiBox, a 5TB Lacie drive from Seagate (and a magnum of fizz), a Xencelabs tablet from Symply, a kadai (portable firepit) from tanooki, a laptop from Digital Garage and HP and an iPad privately donated by David Johnson (from Hiring Post).

The raffle raised over £2,300 for the The Red Cross Israel and Occupied Palestinian Territory Appeal and The Disasters Emergency Committee Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal.

Thank you to everyone at the fete for their generosity. You can see the winners with their prizes within the wrap film.

Until next year.
