Televisual is supporting the Set & Scene 2026, the UK’s first cross-industry event for creative professionals in film, TV, theatre, live events, and immersive experiences.
The event will take place on 25 April 2026 at Central Saint Martins, Granary Square, London.
Set & Scene brings together designers, makers, producers, and suppliers for a one-day programme of panels, live demonstrations, and networking opportunities, showcasing excellence in production design, scenic craft, emerging technologies, and sustainability-led approaches. By spanning multiple sectors, the event reflects the increasingly fluid movement of skills, workflows, and storytelling across screen, stage, and immersive experiences.
“When Set & Scene first approached Televisual, I was immediately struck by how fascinating the intersection is between physical and virtual set building,” said James Bennett, Managing Director of Televisual. “Much of the coverage of virtual production focuses on LED panels, tracking, and VFX, often with little attention to how physical sets and digital elements work together. I love the organisers’ ambition to foster conversations across TV, film, theatre, and immersive experiences, from production designers and set builders to stylists and VFX artists.”
The event combines panels, live demos, and supplier showcases exploring material innovation, responsible production methods, immersive design informed by neuroscience, translating complex creative concepts into buildable environments, and integrating VFX, virtual production, and previs with physical craft.
“The use of hand-painted scenic backings may be considered a dying art, but those with the skills are as busy as ever in the film, theatre, and TV industries! I am delighted to mediate this discussion,” said Simon Bowles, Production Designer, Primate, A Quiet Place: Day One, who will lead one of the panels.
Set & Scene’s Scenic Circle – its Content Advisory Board – includes the British Film Designers Guild, Society of British Theatre Designers, United Talent Agency, Art Department, the National Theatre, and Blooloop. Sponsors and content partners include Amazon MGM Studios, Stirling Event Group, Solas Mind and Cineco, reflecting the event’s cross-sector ambition and commitment to collaboration.
A dedicated app launching in April will provide the full programme, speaker profiles, and networking tools to connect before, during, and after the event.
