Production house Riff Raff made it to the number one spot in the annual Commercials 30 survey, Televisual’s exclusive survey of the commercials production sector that’s now been running since 1993.

Riff Raff claimed the podium for the Top 30 on the back of stand out work like Burberry’s Open Spaces spot and Wagamama’s Vegemama.

Pulse Films came in second with Academy in third and Somesuch in fourth place in the overall top 30.

Riff Raff also took the number one spot in the Peer Poll in which the rival production companies vote for the peers they most admire. Pulse Films was second in the Peer Poll with Academy and Object and Animal sharing third position.

Commercials producers also vote for their favourite directors, ads, agencies, post houses, editors
and colourists as part of the survey.

Riff Raff’s Megaforce-directed Open Spaces for Burberry was the favourite ad and Megaforce also topped the industry’s favourite director poll.

Joe Guest of Final Cut was voted the sector’s favourite editor with Paul Watts of The Quarry in second. Company 3’s Jean-Clement Soret was the favourite colourist.

Uncommon was voted top agency by the commercials producers and Electric Theatre Collective was rated as the best post house.
