The BBC has announced that South Shore has won the competitive tender to produce home renovation format, DIY SOS.

The tender was launched in December 2023 and “following a strong competition,” South Shore’s bid scored highest against the criteria. The programme will be produced out of South Shore’s base in Cardiff.

The contract is for 6 x 60’episodes per series, for 2 years (12 episodes in total) commencing with delivery from late Spring 2025.

Catherine Catton, Head of Commissioning, Factual Entertainment & Events, says: “DIY SOS is a much-loved part of the BBC schedule and I’m confident that South Shore will continue to cherish the brand and ensure its ongoing success in the years ahead. This was an extremely competitive bidding process and we would like to commend the shortlisted producers for the high quality and comprehensive bids they put forward.”

DIY SOS is currently produced by BBC Studios, from Bristol.
