South Shore and Bone Soup have been commissioned to produce a new Tom Kerridge fronted series for ITV1, ITVX, STV and STV Player, Tom Kerridge Cooks Britain.

Tom Kerridge Cooks Britain sees the Michelin-starred chef embarking on a road trip in a remodelled 1950’s food truck. From Cornish fisherman to Scottish fruit farmers, Tom calls in on producers to work alongside them and learn their secrets before cooking their dedicated teams a well-earned meal.

The 6 x 30’ series is made in partnership with Marks & Spencer and will feature producers who supply M&S.

The series is commissioned by ITV’s Head of Entertainment Katie Rawcliffe and Commissioning Editor Paula Thomas. The Executive Producers are Richard Bowron, Melanie Leach and Andrew MacKenzie. Simon Arnold is the Series Producer and Jamie Hammick is the Series Director.

This series comes via BE Studio from ITV, a full service creative studio producing Ad Funded Entertainment (AFE). BE Studio helps brands build emotional connections with ITV’s audience through the co-creation of entirely new formats.

Katie Rawcliffe, Head of ITV Entertainment Commissioning said: “This series showcases Britain in all its culinary and agricultural glory, and it is of course great to be working alongside a chef of Tom’s calibre in bringing the show to life.”

Bhavit Chandrani, Director of BE Studio from ITV said: “The combination of Tom Kerridge, M&S and ITV packs a real punch and we’re delighted to be able to wrap that all up into one series. Viewers are going to love getting this behind-the-scenes insight into British farming and produce as they learn a few more culinary skills to show off in their own kitchens.”

Richard Bowron, Creative Director of Bone Soup, said: “Tom celebrates the best British produce in his pubs and restaurants so this road trip is right up his street. Whether he’s doing an early shift on a dairy farm or going out in choppy seas to catch fish, Tom will want to get stuck in. And I’m sure everyone will love his recipes.”

Melanie Leach, CEO of South Shore said: “We’re so pleased to extend our partnership with M&S and bring Tom to screen in such an invitational series. Travelling the length of Britain, he’s showcasing some of the most wonderful food, people and scenery our country has to offer.

Sharry Cramond, Marketing Director at M&S Food, said: “We are absolutely delighted to be strengthening our partnership with Tom by bringing Tom Kerridge Cooks Britain to ITV in the summer, and helping to showcase the very best of British farming and quality, in-season produce. We’re incredibly proud that all of the farms that will be shown throughout the series supply M&S Food with their products, and we know our customers will love being able to find all of the ingredients for the recipes at their local M&S Foodhall. It truly is a perfect fit for everyone involved!”

The series will broadcast later in 2024.
