Sky Kids has unveiled four new shows for Halloween.

The Ghastly Ghoul comes from Lupus Films (The Tiger Who Came to Tea) and Dublin based Dream Logic (The Christmas Letter).

The animated half-hour special The Ghastly Ghoul stars characters voiced by Ardal O’Hanlon (Father Ted, My Hero), Sophie Okonedo (Hotel Rwanda, Æon Flux), and Michael McElhatton (Game of Thrones, The Fall). Gary (O’Hanlon) a cute and vibrant little monster who doesn’t believe he’s scary enough, disguises himself as The Ghastly Ghoul.

Sky’s billing describes an  “aspirational lead female character who is accompanied by her adorable best friend.”

Three more shows will launch this October.

Kidz Bop Haunted Halloween is a 45-minute special, with contemporary Halloween-themed pop tunes and dance routines.

MC Grammar’s Halloween Party features rap artist Jacob Mitchell (aka MC Grammar) at a Halloween disco.

Tom Gates: A Monster Halloween marks the first  Sky Kids crossover, as an animated version of YouTube superstar DanTDM (Let’s Game) guest stars. The show sees Tom and his friends plan trick and treating with some unexpected help from DanTDM.

Lucy Murphy, Director of Kids Content at Sky said: “We know kids love Halloween so this year we’re excited to launch new BOO-tiful specials starring some of their favourite characters and bring even more spooky fun to Sky Kids with Gary the adorable Ghastly Ghoul.”
