Rental company Shooting Partners has launched the #MakeItVR competition that aims to give producers a chance to get hands-on experience of VR production with a shoot sponsored by Shooting Partners.

The grand prize includes a VR shoot workshop, project management support, a pre-production briefing and advisory session with the Shooting Partners team and a VR shoot day with the full Nokia OZO kit and camera operator. Also, five shortlisted entrants will be invited to attend a VR workshop with a Nokia OZO demonstration and an introduction to the principles of shooting VR video.

Entrants have to explain why the opportunity would be valuable to their team and then Shooting Partners will choose the shortlisted entries based on those explanations.

“VR, AR and 360-degree video has had a huge impact on how video is used to communicate with audiences, but producing this content requires a very different approach to a traditional video shoot,” said Shooting Partners Director, Shaun Wilton.  “The #MakeItVR competition gives production teams a chance to play and learn without having to pay for the privilege.”
