Last night’s Academy Awards saw Parasite take home the prize for Picture. It beat the hotly tipped 1917 and became the first entirely foreign-language film to take the title.
Roger Deakins was awarded best cinematography for his work on the Sam Mendes directed 1917. The film also won best sound mixing and best visual effects.
Director of Parasite, Bong Joon Ho. also took home the awards for best director, best international feature and best original screenplay.
In the best documentary category, the Julia Reichert and Steven Bognar directed film American Factor won, beating the likes of For Sama.
The prizes for best sound editing and best film editing were both awarded to Ford V Ferrari.
