Rock Oyster Media is bringing Ainsley Harriott and Raymond Blanc back to the ITV Daytime schedule with new shows.
Ainsley Harriott is back with Ainsley’s World Cup Flavours (5 x 60’) combining the chef’s two first loves of food and football, which runs on Saturday mornings from 22nd October as part of the build up to the tournament at the end of the year.
The Flavours brand is extended with Ainsley’s Festive Flavours (1 x 60’) for Christmas ’22, and Ainsley’s Fantastic Flavours (10 x 60’) for Q1 ’23.
Also returning is Raymond Blanc OBE, in Raymond Blanc’s Royal Kitchen Gardens (10 x 60’) for 2023. In the series, Michelin-starred chef Raymond Blanc explores the culinary treasures to be found in the kitchen gardens of Royal palaces across the UK, revealing the history of the gardens and meeting the people who love and care for them, before cooking dishes inspired by the produce he finds.
The shows have been commissioned by ITV head of Entertainment, Katie Rawcliffe and commissioning executive, Leanne Clarke.
Clarke said: “We’re so excited to welcome back these two great chefs in brand new shows that we just know our audience will love. As always, Ainsley is in fine form as he inspires us to get cooking and makes us laugh with his infectious sense of humour. We also can’t wait to follow Raymond Blanc as he guides us through some simply stunning royal kitchen gardens, as ever sharing his enthusiasm, insight and expertise and of course, some wonderful recipes! What wonderful shows in prospect for the end of 2022 and into 2023!”
David Nottage, md of Plymouth-based indie Rock Oyster said: “Both Ainsley and Raymond can justifiably be considered national treasures and we are so excited to be bringing both of them back to ITV. In very different ways both are hugely entertaining, provide incredible insight and pass on essential kitchen know-how. Ainsley’s fusion of his two favourite things in World Cup Flavours is a joy to behold, and Fantastic Flavours sees him exploring the nation’s favourite food through the prism of the flavours we all love the most. Raymond’s series on Royal Kitchen Gardens promises to be a feast for the eyes as well as the taste buds, with unique access to these rarely seen places yielding wonderful stories, hidden treasures and inspiration for some mouth-watering recipes. TV food lovers have some real treats in store from both of these remarkable chefs.”
ITV has also recently commissioned Rock Oyster for a second series of Unwind with ITV (365 x 75’), the nightly tx of calming and reflective programming that encourages mindfulness and self-care.
