Reuters is reporting that the Comcast-owned Sky has now agreed terms to buy up ITV’s broadcast and streaming business.
The reports also say that the deal will include ITV Studios acquiring Sky-owned Great British Bake Off producer, Love Productions.
Reuters is reporting anonymous sources, “two people familiar with the matter,” who say that the deal is “now being finalised by lawyers.”
ITV confirmed that it was in talks with Comcast-owned Sky over a possible sale of its media and entertainment unit back in November. The M&E unit includes ITV’s free to air channels along with its streaming service ITVX. The sale talks do not include the ITV Studios business.
