Executive Producer Rebecca North has been upped to the newly created role of Head of Documentaries at RAW, with immediate effect.
North will work closely with Creative Directors Tim Wardle and Jonny Taylor on RAW’s strategy for its unscripted slate, as well as continuing to act as an executive producer. Her next titles include a new feature doc and series for Netflix, and a doc series for another global streamer (to be announced).
Her recent titles as Executive Producer include the Netflix hits The Crash and BAFTA nominated series American Nightmare. The Crash was the streamer’s highest rating doc film in the first six months of 2026, with 65 million views to date and reaching no.1 in film across 27 countries. As a result of the release of American Nightmare in 2025, criminal Matthew Muller received multiple further convictions and consecutive life sentences for a series of previously unsolved cold cases.
Since joining RAW as an Executive Producer in 2015, North’s other recent credits include the BAFTA nominated ITV series The Undercover Police Scandal: Love and Lies Exposed, as well as Netflix’s The Puppet Master: Hunting The Ultimate Conman and Sweet Bobby.
Along with North’s promotion, development executive Chloe Symonds is made VP Global Unscripted Development, working to Ross Goodlass, SVP Global Unscripted Development. Symonds joined RAW in 2022 from the development team at Mindhouse and previously Flicker.
Joely Fether, RAW’s CEO says: “It’s incredibly exciting to see Rebecca take on this new role at Raw. Her instinct for stories and integrity in navigating extremely difficult subjects whilst creating powerful and compelling films is exceptional. Supported by Jonny and Tim, and alongside the rest of our fantastic senior team, we feel better placed than ever to deliver innovative and impactful titles in this fast-moving and evolving market. The elevation of Chloe also sees a real emerging talent take on a more senior role within the company”
