The company’s LED virtual production work includes House of the Dragon, Star Trek: Discovery, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Reacher and Amazon’s critically acclaimed Cada Minuto Cuenta. PXO has seven creative studios and four LED volumes in the US, UK, Germany and Canada.

Former Zodiak Americas CEO Jonny Slow became Pixomondo’s global chief executive officer in 2019.

In a note to staff, he said

“Dear all,

I’m writing with some very important news which I’d like you to hear directly from me.

After more than six years as the CEO of PXO, I have decided that it’s time to move on. At this point, it simply feels the right time to step off the dragon-train and take a breather. No flames, no drama, no explosions, no alien invasions. I’ll leave that to you all, you do it so well.

Following my departure, the reporting structure will be realigned in the interim, and the heads of each division – Sabrina Christoforidis for VFX, Chris Cox for Clara, and Mahmoud Rahnama for Innovation – will continue to work directly with the relevant Sony divisions and leadership.

I hugely appreciate the opportunity to have been able to lead PXO, and I will be forever grateful to you for the trust, talent, and energy you bring to this company each and every day. I am also thankful for the many colleagues I have had the enormous pleasure of working with over the years, and for the friendships that have formed during this time.

I will miss you all, and very much hope that our paths will cross again.

All my very best,

Jonny”
