Unit Film & TV has hired Paul Round as VFX Supervisor.

Round’s credits include three James Bond films, Casino Royale, Skyfall and Spectre, working closely with Director Sam Mendes. He has worked with Ridley Scott, Martin Campbell, and Terry Gilliam. On Alien: Covenant, Round was responsible for delivering one of the film’s most complex sequences, a scene involving dual performances from a single actor that had previously been unsuccessfully attempted by multiple vendors. His filmography also includes VFX supervision on Judy, his work as a Senior Compositor / VFX artist for Running Man alongside Director Edgar Wright, and his earlier work on Da Vinci’s Demons.

Round  supported as a compositing lead on Unit’s recent project Bait with Riz Ahmed. At Unit, Round will work across film and TV

Recent Unit projects include ITV’s psychological drama Gone, Paramount’s Mobland and Sky’s upcoming British thriller
series Prisoner.

Unit Founder Adam Luckwell said: “We’ve built Unit around people who don’t just execute at the highest level, but who actively reshape how the work gets done. Paul brings that rare combination of experience, curiosity and problem-solving instinct, the kind of thinking that unlocks ideas others might walk away from. As we take on more ambitious, technically demanding projects, having someone of his calibre helps raise the bar across everything we do. ”

Unit VFX Supervisor Paul Round added: “Unit has a reputation for leaning into the kind of work that others might see as too complex, whether that’s creature performance, seamless character work or technically ambitious sequences. That’s what really appealed to me. There’s a clear drive to push craft forward while embracing new ways of working, and that combination creates a really exciting environment to make standout work. ”
