Paramount+ has announced its first unscripted original UK series ahead of the launch of the global streaming service in the UK this Summer.

Story Films, 72 Films, Top Hat, Vice Studios and Curve media have all won commissions.

Story Films in association with All3Media International is making Haunted (w/t). The series details the most “intriguing, terrifying and enduring” paranormal cases in Britain and America. Made with a true-crime storytelling sensibility, the 4×60” series will “explore and unpack cases that have captured the public imagination for many years.”  The Executive Producers for Story Films are Peter Beard and Adam Hopkins, the Series Producer is Laura Matthews. The series was ordered by Daniel Pearl, Vice President, Unscripted UK Originals for Paramount+ UK. All3Media International will handle global sales.

Rise of the Tech Titans (w/t) is produced by 72 Films, in association with All3Media International and Night Train Media. The series will tell the story of the rise of Big Tech and the “handful of young upstarts who created the modern world.” The 4×60” series will chart the events that led to a group of founders being able to “take their vision to stratospheric levels and reveal how their decisions would go onto shape how we live.” The show will use previously unseen archive that shows the formation of the big tech companies along with interviews with people at the heart of the story.

Executive Producers for 72 Films are Mark Raphael, John Douglas and Annabel Hobley, whilst both Katie Hindley and Gagan Rehill are Series Producers, and will also Direct Rise of the Tech Titans (w/t). The series was again ordered by Daniel Pearl for Paramount+ UK. All3Media International will handle global sales.

The Box (w/t), produced by Top Hat Productions, in association with All3Media International and Night Train Media, follows Police Detective Chris Loudon’s mission to expose the truth behind one of America’s worst serial killers. Loudon discovers a box of evidence seized decades ago and untouched. In the box are dozens of photos of young women. Throughout the 3×60” series, Detective Loudon unravels a murder mystery where women’s reports of sexual assault were all too frequently dismissed throughout the 1970s.

Darren Kemp is Executive Producer for Top Hat Productions, whilst Robin Dashwood is the Series Director, and Sarah Foudy is the Series Producer. The series was again ordered by Daniel Pearl for Paramount+ UK. All3Media International will handle global sales.

MH370: The Lost Flight (w/t) produced by VICE Studios is an investigative documentary that will uncover new evidence surrounding the disappearance of Malaysian flight MH370 in 2014. The 3×50” series, produced for Paramount+ in the UK and SBS in Australia, and in association with VICE World News, tells the story of the flight’s disappearance through the eyes of those closest to the tragedy, the victims’ families.

Neil Grant is Executive Producer with Steve Webb serving as Series Producer and Director of MH370: The Lost Flight (w/t) with Yonni Usiskin serving as co-Executive Producer for VICE Studios. The series was ordered by Guy Davies, VP Commissioning Editor for Paramount+ UK.

Chalet Girls (w/t) is produced by Curve Media. The 8×60” series will take a look inside the world of luxury ski resorts and centres on the chalet girls, mixologists, ski instructors and chefs who return to the exclusive location every season.

Executive Producers for Curve Media are Charlie Bunce, Camilla Lewis and Rob Carey. Chalet Girls (w/t) was ordered by Denise Seneviratne, VP Commissioning Editor for Paramount+ UK.
