Pact has today appointed Ross Lewis as its Head of International and Projects.
Lewis joins Pact from the Department for Business and Trade (formerly DIT) where he has spent the past seven years as Senior Account Manager for Screen (Film and TV) & Publishing. During that time he managed relationships with key industry associations including Pact and also the BFI, BFC, Film Export UK, Animation UK and UK Screen Alliance. Lewis supported companies in the creative sectors to export and invest overseas. He also sits on the UK Global Screen Fund steering board with DCMS and BFI.
At Pact, he will be responsible for working with members to help them develop their export potential, discover global opportunities by addressing any trade barriers such as regulatory or access, and seeking new business opportunities across key territories.
He will deliver and manage existing Pact projects as well as developing export strategies.
Ross Lewis said: “From Mipcom in 2016, through to Realscreen, Austin in 2023, working closely with Pact to deliver successful outputs for UK indies has been one of my career highlights. I am passionate about the screen sector and I am excited to join the dynamic Pact team, using my skills to unlock and promote innovative export opportunities for members.”
Pact CEO John McVay OBE, said: “We are looking forward to welcoming Ross to the Pact team. He brings with him a wealth of knowledge from both the political and international sectors and many Pact members will already know him from the numerous events Ross has attended in his role at DIT.
“Over the past 15 years we have seen massive growth in international sales and it is important to us to continue to support indies in exporting overseas, and we are confident that with Ross on board, members will continue to benefit from Pact’s expertise.”
