Bournemouth-based Outpost VFX has hired Fay Hancocks as VFX Producer.

Previously at both MPC and Double Negative, Hancocks has produced VFX for feature films including Star Trek: Beyond, Total Recall and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2.

Based in Bournemouth, Hancocks will support Outpost’s output across feature film, high-end TV and commercials.

“As Outpost continues to go from strength to strength it is important to make sure we have the best producers in the business,” said Gez Hixson, Head of Production at Outpost VFX. “Fay’s experience is really valuable and will add even more strength to our world-class production team as we continue to grow and develop in 2018.

“As demand for our services increases we have brought in yet another producer who’s very much at the top of her game to help lead us into the next stage of Outpost’s progression. We are really excited to have Fay with us and I’m looking forward to seeing her advance our offering to clients.”

Hancocks graduated from Bournemouth University’s National Centre for Computer Animation in 2008 before working her way up through the production ranks at MPC and Double Negative in London and Vancouver.

Hancocks said: “I’m super excited to join Outpost VFX. The investment in their teams and technology is extremely forward-thinking, and the quality of work they’re producing is superb.”

Hancocks’ appointment follows the addition of producers Andy Burrow, who joined from LipSync in late 2017, and Josh Sykes, who joined Outpost VFX from ILM in the summer of 2017.

Outpost’s recent productions include 47 Meters Down, Life, Nocturnal Animals, Philip K Dick’s Electric Dreams and The Mercy.
