Factual producer One Tribe TV and producing partner Featuristic Films have announced a new feature-length documentary fronted by T4 and Coronation Street‘s Anthony Crank going behind the scenes of the global gay adult entertainment industry.
Set against the backdrop of The Grabbys – Europe’s leading gay adult entertainment awards – Torremolinos is Burning w/t (1 x 90 mins) follows Crank as he immerses himself in the world of performers, creators and industry insiders gathering in the Spanish resort of Torremolinos.
Best known for his work as a presenter on Channel 4’s T4, the BBC’s Holiday, and as an actor in Coronation Street, Crank “is at a crossroads in his career.” In the film, he will embark on a “deeply personal, hands-on exploration of whether moving into the adult industry could be a serious next step.”
Dale Templar, Managing Director of One Tribe TV, said: “This film will take an unflinching, witty and deeply human look at the world of gay adult entertainment, combining the first ever full access to the event with a thoughtful, investigative lens, moving beyond sensationalism to examine the realities of a rapidly evolving industry that is increasingly intersecting with mainstream culture.”
Meredith Coral, Head of TV at Featuristic Films, added: “Featuristic Films is delighted to have boarded Torremolinos is Burning as co-producers. We are proud to be supporting a bold and vibrant documentary that explores a unique cultural world with both sensitivity and cinematic ambition. At a time when conversations around sexuality, identity and visibility are more urgent than ever, this project feels especially resonant. We believe it is exceptionally well-positioned for the international festival circuit and are excited to help bring it to audiences worldwide.”
Over four days at The Grabbys, Crank will meet leading performers, OnlyFans creators and emerging talent, gaining insight into the motivations, economics and personal stories behind the industry. The film also explores broader cultural shifts, from the mainstreaming of adult content creation to ongoing stigma and regulatory pressures.
Anthony Crank said: “I wanted to tell this story after I unknowingly chanced upon the Grabbys 2025 whilst on holiday in Torremolinos. Almost instantaneously, I was swept up in a world that was enthralling, unifying, committed, and, above all else, human. As an outsider truly welcomed into this exciting and dedicated community, I wanted to demystify and validate the work of these performers, creators and industry workers, creating a narrative that questions and challenges people’s perceptions and misconceptions about the gay porn industry, and the wonderful beings that inhabit it.”
Torremolinos is Burning is produced by One Tribe TV and Featuristic Films. It is executive produced by Dale Templar and Owen Gay for One Tribe and directed by Joel Ross.
