Animation company Omens Studios is bolstering its UK presence with new appointments across its creative and business teams based in London.

Rob Doherty is joining Omens Studios, consulting as SVP of Business Development, responsible for project development and forging relationships with co-production and broadcast partners internationally, with an initial focus on properties developed in the UK and Europe. He brings a “wealth of experience in development and multi-territory co-productions” including “Angry Birds: Summer Madness” (Netflix), “Mama K’s Team 4” (Netflix) and “Space Chickens in Space” (Disney).

Matteo Ceccotti, who is working at Omens Studios as Director, will be joining the 123 Number Squad! project. He is an experienced Director, Emmy-nominated Animation Director and Animator with credits across projects such as “Vampirina”, “Transformers Age of Extinction”, “Marvel Studios’ What If…?” and “Halo 3”.

He joins the existing team of creatives working on Omens Studios’ properties including Show Runner Sacha Goedegebure and Sally Marchant who is currently executive producing and leading the development of the second season of 123 Number Squad! (52 x 11’) for Sky TV and NOW. Becky Overton (“Thomas and Friends”, “Miffy’s Adventures”, “Big & Small”) is the Head Writer on the new season overseeing the writing team including Ian Carney (“Deer Squad”, “Go Jetters”, “Chuggington”, “Bob the Builder”), Darren Jones (“P. King Duckling”, “Fireman Sam”, “Peter Rabbit”), Nicole Davis (“JoJo and Gran Gran”, “Pop Paper City”), and Helena Smee (“Tickle”, “Patch & Friends”).

Aimed at children aged 3-6, the first season of 123 Number Squad! – which starts airing in the UK in February 2023 – features a diverse cast on screen and is brought to life by a diverse group of creatives and writers. The series follows Paula, Billy and Tim, three best friends with a shared love of numbers, hanging out together in their playroom HQ at 123 Numberville – a bustling world of amazing locations, with surprises around every corner. But when a Numberville citizen has a problem, they call for emergency help – and Paula, Billy and Tim become a fast-response rescue team: 123 Number Squad!.
