October Films has bolstered its senior teams in the UK and US with the hire of Nathan Peachey as Group Finance Director and the promotions of Louis Mole (pictured) to Head of Development US and Matt Dewar to Head of Development UK.

Peachey will be charged with accelerating October’s recent growth, building on deals like October’s US joint venture Talos Films (with Julian P. Hobbs, Elli Hakami and Sky Vision) as well as a "range of opportunities for further expansion."

Talos Films has already produced a docu-drama series for History US, and is in production and development on various projects including a Sci-Fi scripted series launched in partnership with Golden Globe-nominated actor and writer Issa Rae’s Color Creative.

The promotions of Matt Dewar and Louis Mole will help drive October’s development slate for existing UK and US networks, as well as new clients and online platforms. Both report to Creative Director Matt Robins, who oversees development across the UK and US.

Adam Bullmore, Managing Director, October Films said: “October has enjoyed significant growth as a truly independent company, expanding our productions and client base in the UK, Europe and North America over the last three years and creating an innovative and successful partnership with Talos Films. We now have an opportunity to take the company to its next stage and I’m delighted that Nathan is joining us and will bring his expertise to helping us deliver our plans.”

Matt Robins, Creative Director, October Films added: “Matt and Louis’ achievements reflect October’s commitment to building a working environment where young, talented people can learn, develop and flourish.  I’m enormously proud of the different ways Matt and Louis have expressed their creativity and ambition, and know they’ll continue to develop and produce outstanding content as October expands.”

October’s recent shows include:  Eight Days That Made Rome (8×60’, Channel 5), Home Alone (6×60’, ID) From Russia To Iran: Crossing The Wild Frontier (4×60’, Channel 4), Dangerous Borders (3×60’, BBC2), Motorheads (BBC Brit), David Jason’s Secret Service (3×60’, Channel 4), The Bulger Killers: Was Justice Served? (1×60’, Channel 4); and Annie: Out of the Ashes (BBC3). The company is currently in production on series for Channel 4, the BBC, Investigation Discovery, Science Channel and Lifetime.

Nathan Peachey was previously CFO at Atlantic Productions, where he was instrumental in Atlantic’s growth strategy, including expansion of IMAX films and VR content. Prior to Atlantic he was FD at Zig Zag Productions, as the company expanded its US presence, and before that Finance Manager at Twenty Twenty Television, where he managed the company’s sale to Shed Media.

Louis Mole joined October Films in 2014 within the London development team before moving to the company’s New York office.  His credits include developing Mygrations (6×60’, National Geographic Channels US and global), Trailblazers (6×60’, Discovery Channel US), and a seven-part series for Lifetime. He is also a Guest Lecturer on Documentary Film making at the New York Film Academy.

Matt Dewar’s recent commissions include Dangerous Borders (3×60′ BBC2), Annie: Out of the Ashes (1×60′, BBC3); Caravanner of the Year (2×60′, BBC2); and The Big Spring Clean (1×60′, Channel 4).
