Objective Media Group is launching a brand-new creative label with Jonny Meenagh, Shine’s Head of Development.

Setting up in April and partnering with the existing OMG labels and companies to develop and co-produce new non-scripted content, the as yet un-named label will draw on Meenagh’s expertise of developing factual entertainment formats, features and specialist factual.

Meenagh has been at Shine for six years.  Over that time his development credits include Channel 4’s The Island with Bear Grylls, Hunted and The Secret Life of Prisons, Sky One’s The Heist and BBC One’s All Change at Longleat.  Prior to this he was at companies including Mentorn, Optomen and the BBC, where he worked across programmes including Space Dive and Mary Queen of Charity Shops (both for BBC Two) and Reggie Yates: Teen Gangs and Free Speech (both for BBC Three).

The label, which will have its own bespoke team led by Meenagh, will develop a range of non-scripted formats and programmes. Greenlit projects will be co-produced by either betty, Second Star, Panda or Hitchhiker.

Meenagh said: “I’ve had a wonderful six years at ShineTV but the opportunity to collaborate with teams across the Objective group felt too good an opportunity to miss.  I’m really excited to be joining Layla, Holly and the labels at OMG and very much looking forward to getting things off the ground.”

Objective Media Group CEO Layla Smith and Commercial Director Holly Pye added: “We’re delighted that someone as talented as Jonny is joining forces with OMG. There’s always room for innovative ideas, and we’re really excited to see what Jonny’s creativity will bring to the group.”
