The National Film and Television School has added five new members to its Board of Governors.

The new NFTS Board of Governors are Paloma Baeza BAFTA award-winning filmmaker and NFTS alumna; Chris Bird, Managing Director of Prime Video UK; Cécile Frot-Coutaz, CEO of Sky Studios and Chief Content Officer for Sky; Paul Clark, Higher Education Consultant and Andy Harries, CEO and Co-Founder of Left Bank Pictures

Departing the board are Oli Hyatt, Phil Edgar-Jones, Bal Samra, Mary Stiasny and Miranda Wayland.

Earlier this year, the NFTS secured £10 million in government investment to support its expansion plans. This includes adding 25,000 sq. ft. of teaching space at its Beaconsfield HQ, launching new courses in AI and Virtual Production, accelerating apprenticeship pathways, and enhancing provision for students with disabilities.

NFTS Chair Sophie Turner Laing said: “We are thrilled to welcome Paloma Baeza, Chris Bird, Cécile Frot-Coutaz, Paul Clark and Andy Harries to the National Film and Television School’s Board of Governors. Their combined expertise and passion for the industry will be instrumental in guiding the NFTS as we continue to build the future and inspire the next generation of film, television and games talent. I’d also like to thank our outgoing board members for their invaluable contributions and dedicated service to the NFTS.”

The incoming board members will sit alongside BBC’s Chief Content Officer Charlotte Moore, ITV Studios Managing Director Julian Bellamy, EA’s Chief Commercial Officer Scott Forrest and Polly Cochrane, former VP of Warner Bros. Discovery and other members.
