Troubadour, operator of Wembley Park Theatre based at the old Fountain Studios site, is to open a new purpose built TV and film studio complex in Edmonton, North London.

Troubadour Meridian Water Studios will form part of Enfield Council’s regeneration plans for the area.

The studios will be located on a 155,073 sq.ft plot in Enfield, North London “offering extensive space for workshops, offices, parking and load ins.” Troubadour points out that the site offers excellent transport links being just off the North Circular and is in striking distance from all major London airports.

The complex will be built in two phases. In phase one, beginning this month, three sound stages will be constructed: Stage 1 at 20,921 Sq. Ft.; Stage 2 at 11,216 Sq. Ft. and Stage 3 at 8,213 Sq. Ft. along with five workshops, offices and dressing rooms.

Phase 2, opening in January 2023 will see the 40,000 Sq. Ft. Stage 4, the 20,000 Sq. Ft. Stage 5 and Stage 6 also at 20,000 Sq. Ft. built along with further workshops and offices.

Alongside this will be “large, modern and versatile open plan offices with canal views” and a “stylish shared cafe and dining space to unwind and relax.”
