Netflix has commissioned new dark comedy series, Vladimir, starring Rachel Weisz and produced by Merman.
The eight-episode series is adapted from Julia May Jonas’s acclaimed novel.
As a woman’s life unravels, she becomes obsessed with her captivating new colleague. Full of sexy secrets, dark humour and complex characters, Vladimir is about what happens when a woman goes hell-bent to turn her fantasies into reality.
Rachel Weisz (The Favourite, Dead Ringers, The Constant Gardener, The Mummy) is to star in the series and is on board as an executive producer.
Kate Robin (One Mississippi, The Affair, Dead to Me, Six Feet Under) will showrun, write and exec produce the series. The novel’s author Julia May Jonas is also to exec produce and write.
For Merman, the Executive Producers are Sharon Horgan, Stacy Greenberg and Kira Carstensen with Jason Winer and Jon Radler execs for Small Dog Picture Company.
