Narcos producer Gaumont is opening a UK office with Kudos exec Alison Jackson installed as president.

Jackson’s most recent production credit is on Sky Atantic’s Tin Star. She will continue in that role until joining Gaumont officially in August.

She joined Kudos as an exec producer in 2007 and has exec’d dramas including Hunted (BBC One/HBO Cinemax), kids spy drama MI High Series 3-6 (CBBC) Ashes to Ashes 3, nearly Famous, Eternal Law (ITV), Moving Wallpaper (ITV), Echo Beach (ITV)

She has previously served as Head of Development at Working Title Films and has also produced There’s Only One Jimmy Grimble (SRP/Impact/Pathé), Murder Rooms II (BBC Films / WGBH Boston), No Night is Too Long (BBC /Alliance Atlantis), Carla (RDF), Faith (BBC), TV movie Not Only But Always, Child of Mine (ITV) and The Amazing Mrs Pritchard (BBC1).

The news follows Gaumont’s recent announcement of the opening of a German office in July with Sabine de Mardt serving as president.

“The opening of our UK and German divisions signifies the continued expansion of Gaumont and are instrumental to our plan of developing and producing TV dramas in select territories around the world," said Gaumont CEO Sidonie Dumas.
