The team behind hit BBC3 series Murder in Successville have launched new scripted comedy company Shiny Button.
Shiny Button will work as an independent label within Tiger Aspect Productions and will form part of Endemol Shine UK.

The company will develop and produce content across both television and feature films.
The first project to be developed and produced by the company is Action Team, a new six-part comedy series commissioned by ITV2. Action Team is a spoof spy action thriller series following the exploits of a top-secret team of special agents working for the British government and charged with saving the world.
Brereton began his career developing, producing and exec-producing shows for the BBC, 12 Yard Productions and TalkbackTHAMES. In 2012, Brereton joined Tiger Aspect Productions as Head of Comedy Entertainment, where he created and executive produced shows such as Drunk History (Comedy Central) and Crackanory (Dave). Whilst at Tiger Aspect, Brereton also co-created and executive produced Murder in Successville (BBC3).
De Frond is a director, writer and producer. In addition to directing and collaborating with Tom Davis on all three series of Murder in Successville, De Frond worked alongside Leigh Francis on his sketch show Bo’ Selecta!, going on to either co-write, produce and direct on it’s various spin offs including Chamone Mo’ Fo’ Selecta!, Keith Lemons Brilliant World Tour, and A Bear’s Tail.
He also co- wrote, produced and directed The Morgana Show and Very Important People.

Davis is an actor, writer and comedian who is most well known for playing D.I. Sleet in Murder in Successville, which is currently airing its third season on BBC Three. Davis’ feature film credits include Ben Wheatley’s Free Fire, Alice Lowe’s Prevenge and up and coming Paddington 2. Davis will continue to be represented by Independent Talent.

De Frond and Davis have co-written Action Team together for ITV2, Shiny Buttons first commission, with De Frond directing.

Brereton, De Frond and Davis said: “Working together we have found something very special with Murder in Successville and we want to take our unique brand of comedy further to develop funny programmes and films and stuff.”
