After uniting The Mill and MPC Advertising brands under The Mill banner, Technicolor Creative Studios has announced the integration of its VFX brands MPC Film, MPC Episodic and MR. X under Moving Picture Company (MPC), “forming the largest suite of VFX studios serving the feature film and episodic market globally.”
MPC will be helmed by newly appointed President, Tom Williams, previously Managing Director of MPC Episodic.
The move is part of a wider strategy to create one market-leading brand for Feature Film and Episodic clients, combining creative talent while “looking to scale up globally, investing in technology, infrastructure and real-estate.”
MPC’s studio locations now include London, Los Angeles, Toronto, Montreal, Adelaide, Bangalore and Mumbai, with over 5000 artists.
President of MPC, Tom Williams comments, “Bringing all of Technicolor Creative Studios longform & episodic VFX brands under the MPC banner gives us the strongest possible platform to invest in growth and centralise our R&D efforts. This is an exciting business transformation that will be followed by global expansion plans, enabling us to access the best talent in the world.”
Tom Williams will be joining fellow Technicolor Creative Studios brand presidents, Josh Mandel – President of Advertising, Andrea Miloro – President of Animation, and Jeaneane Falkner – President of Games.
The structural changes will roll out in January 2022, with MPC Film, Episodic and Mr X re-branding as MPC effective immediately.
