Bristol-based studio Moonraker VFX has hired Lucas Pozzey as Head of 3D.

Pozzey is a 3D Specialist with over two decades of experience including time at vfx houses MPC, DNEG, Luma, and Jellyfish.

After establishing himself in live action as a director and cinematographer, Pozzey was able to transfer those skills into VFX, leading to a career including contributions to Prometheus, Lion King (2019), Marvel and DC films. His work includes six films in the last decade nominated for the Best Visual Effects Academy Award. He most recently worked on the award winning Prehistoric Planet series.

Lucas Pozzey, Head of 3D at Moonraker, commented, “I’m excited to help expand on what the talented artists at Moonraker have achieved so far and hope to bring some of the I skills and knowledge I’ve acquired working for big studios to push us creatively and technically to where we want to be.”
