Alan Clements’ indie Two Rivers Media has hired Mirella Breda as Head of Entertainment.

Breda, who was most recently Managing Director of Initial and spent seven years as a Commissioning Editor of Entertainment at the BBC, will join immediately and relocate to Glasgow in the autumn.

Mirella Breda said, “Sometimes an opportunity comes along at the right time, in the right place.  I’m incredibly excited to be joining Two Rivers at the beginning of its story. I can’t wait to get started.”

Alan Clements, MD of Two Rivers Media, said, “I am delighted that a talented and experienced creative leader like Mirella is joining Two Rivers on its journey, and shares our vision of building a company of scale in Scotland.   Her Entertainment track record is absolutely second to none”.

Two Rivers Media is headquartered in Glasgow.   Its MD is Alan Clements and Head of Factual is Mick McAvoy.  The company is backed by Kew Media, Noble Grossart and the Channel 4 Growth Fund.
