Flipbook Studio has announced four new hires on the back of vfx project wins for a major CBBC drama with Netflix and ZDF, as well as expansion in the studio’s Immersive and Interactive division.

Andrew Lord, MD of Flipbook said: "The media/creative industries are thankfully booming in Manchester and the North at the moment and we’re positioning ourselves to make the most of the situation, diversifying our service offering and working hard to attract and win the kind of work that traditionally gets pushed through competitor facilities in London. Three of our four new hires have moved up from positions in London, reflecting the attractiveness of Manchester and the North West as a place to live and work, as well as what we offer as a studio."  

Londoner Daniel Fraser joins Flipbook as a Production Manager, bringing over 10 years’ experience from the film and TV industry, having worked for Studiocanal and 20th Century Fox.  Fraser worked on the promotional releases of Deadpool, X-Men, The Walking Dead and The X-Files.

Stéphane Sartori comes to Flipbook as a 3D Generalist, with a primary focus on 3D animation after four years as a 3D animator in London and Manchester.

Miriam Sarbu has also joined as a 3D Generalist, with a focus on 3D character modelling and has worked  in various major VFX facilities in London for the past four years.

Jessica Ashworth-Aiton joins as Marketing Executive. She will be take responsibility for the creative development of promotional materials, website content and social media. Ashworth-Aiton will also be managing the upcoming partial rebrand of Flipbook.
