Lupus Films and The Leith Agency have  followed up their 2006 Christmas Irn Bru Snowman ad with a sequel where the young boy attempts to get revenge on the Irn Bru stealing Snowman.

Director Robin Shaw again led a team of animators at Lupus Films (producers of The Snowman and The Snowdog, Ethel and Ernest and We’re Going on a Bear Hunt) to continue the story.

Every one of the 800 frames is hand-drawn and hand-coloured by pencil.

Director Robin Shaw said: ‘It’s been phenomenal to continue the story of the IRN-BRU snowman and boy with this sequel, which stays true to the humour and style of the original in every way. One thing that’s made it so special has been teaming up with so many of the artists and animators who worked with me on the first ad and to use the same traditional pencil-on-paper animation techniques.’

Camilla Deakin Joint MD of Lupus Films said: “As champions of hand-drawn animation we are delighted to have used traditional animation techniques to create another delightful instalment of the much-loved commercial. Working closely with the Leith Agency and IRN-BRU we have produced a beautifully rendered and hugely entertaining sequel that we hope people will enjoy as much – and for as long – as the original.”
