Lime Pictures’ Head of Unscripted Development Ben Crompton is to transfer to the US to join the company’s US division as EVP of Development.

Crompton, who has helped oversee the company’s US development from the UK for the last three years, will be based in Los Angeles.  He will continue to report into Lime’s Head of Unscripted Programming, London based Sarah Tyekiff who is responsible for Lime’s unscripted portfolio, worldwide.

Crompton co-executive produced Lime’s latest entertainment offering in the US, E!’s Dating No Filter which launches this month.  He also co-developed Bravo’s Relative Success with Tabitha Coffey.  In the UK, Crompton most recently developed True Love or True Lies for MTV and primetime dating series Celebs Go Dating for E4 (now in production of its sixth series).

Prior to joining Lime Pictures in 2014, Crompton was Head of Development for Eyeworks and had senior development roles at ITV & Spun Gold.

Lime Pictures is a part of All3Media America in the US and Compton will work closely with All3Media America CEO Tim Pastore.  Ben Riley will continue in his role of Head of Entertainment Formats based in the UK, also reporting directly into Sarah Tyekiff.

Head of Unscripted Sarah Tyekiff said; “We are in a very exciting time of change and growth here at Lime and I’m thrilled that Ben will be leading our non-scripted drive in the US.  He has been paramount in building the unscripted development slate across all genres both in the UK and the US over the past 3 years and his move allows us to have a strong connection between the London and LA teams capitalising on our development on both sides of the Atlantic.”

Ben Crompton (EVP of Development) said; “This is a very exciting time for Lime Pictures both in the UK and the US.  Relocating to LA is not only a great opportunity for me personally but will ensure Lime’s development drive is truly aligned, while giving us the opportunity to further build on our relationships with the US networks, and continue the momentum we’ve built in London.”
