LEAP Film and Post, formerly Locomotion, has completed its relocation to Clerkenwell adding more space, upgrades and new recruits.

LEAP’s new offices have allowed them to almost triple in size and capacity for content and broadcast, with integrated post-production facilities of over 3,000 square feet including editing, VFX and high-end finishing as well as voice over recording, broadcast audio production and green screen interview space.

Alongside the expansion of post-production/VFX and content space, LEAP has also invested in servers and smart storage infrastructure and has selected Qumulo for its cutting-edge hybrid and cloud storage.

Technology and Systems Director, Aidan Taub says, “We chose Qumulo because it allows us to scale any job to any size and work on it from anywhere in the world. It also opens up tremendous opportunities for cloud rendering, so we don’t need to outsource or build an in-house render farm. We’re excited to be joining the ranks of other prestigious VFX clients like Disney and FuseFX”.

As well as relocating and upgrading facilities, LEAP’s Film and Post team have welcomed two new recruits. Todd Gyamfi joins as an editor/motion graphics designer and Lauren Potts joins as a production assistant.

Gyamfi’s creative industries background stretches from product design and live AV mixing to filming, editing and creating motion graphics and VFX for broadcast, OOH and social media.

Head of post-production, Tony Chamberlain said, “Todd is a highly skilled motion graphics designer and compliments the skillset in the team perfectly. We’re looking forward to creating excellent work with him”.

Lauren Potts joins LEAP from Stink Films where she supported leading commercials directors and C-suite executives across a range of productions.

Chamberlain said, “We are very happy to invite Lauren into our production team. Lauren is an excellent organiser and a great fit with the rest of the team. She has already helped us deliver several versioning campaigns for brands in UK and around the world”.
