Sara Kozak will be launching media consultancy for the TV industry Hudson House Media, later in 2024.
The new company will offer a mix of management consultancy and strategic troubleshooting with a strong emphasis on unscripted content. Drawing on her decades of experience, she will advise production executives on all aspects of team building and management as well as commissioning and development.
For more than 17 years, Kozak was Senior Vice President, Head of Production at Warner Bros. Discovery, where she led nonfiction content for Investigation Discovery (ID) and the streaming platform MAX. During her tenure, Kozak oversaw production on thousands of hours of unscripted content, including series that remain some of WBD’s strongest revenue drivers.
Kozak says: “Fifteen years with ID, the world’s most successful true crime network, has been invaluable experience, but I’ve also helmed historical and military docs, and spent years as an exec on successful formats for Discovery Channel and TLC; not to mention several years producing highly successful food programmes at the BBC. I want to use this abundance of experience, team building and management to good use in the future, whether it’s helping UK production companies expand into the US market, or simply trouble shooting a series or feature doc.”
With more than forty years of experience in both the UK and US markets, Kozak has launched and led some of television’s iconic series and specials. Under her leadership, Investigation Discovery became America’s number one true crime destination. Kozak has collaborated with production companies in the US and Europe.
Hudson House Media will be open for business in the summer of 2024.
