The Jungle Book, TheLion King and Iron Man director John Favreau is to team up with the BBC’s Natural History for a major new natural history series for Apple’s new SVOD service depicting the last days of the dinosaurs.
The collaboration between the executive producer of Planet Earth II, Mike Gunton and director of The Lion King, Jon Favreau, will use “breath-taking” CGI to take audiences back to the last days of the dinosaurs experiencing the unique wonders of Planet Earth 66 million years ago.
Produced by BBC Studios Natural History Unit, Jon Favreau and Mike Gunton executive produce, supported by series producer Tim Walker and double academy award winner Andrew R. Jones.
