Glasgow-based indie Red Sky Productions has appointed Jacqui Hayden to the new role of Director of Development.

Red Sky Productions has recently won commissions including Autumn at Jimmy’s Farm (4×60’ for Channel 4), Jimmy’s Big Bee Rescue (2×60’ for Channel 4), and a second season of Tiny Lives (4×30’ for BBC 1 Scotland). The company also developed and produced two fast turnaround series during lockdown – Spring at Jimmy’s Farm (4×60’ for Channel 4) and Socially Distant with Susan Calman (6×30’ for BBC Scotland), and is in development on projects for a range of broadcasters.

Jacqui Hayden was previously Director of Development at Matchlight where she was responsible for developing successful returning series and critically acclaimed single documentaries including The Highland Midwife (Channel 5), Night Force (BBC Daytime), My Baby, Psychosis and Me (BBC 1), Transplant Tales (BBC 1), and Sold: Inside Christies (BBC 2). As Head of Development for IWC Media, Jacqui developed a diverse range of series including Mountain (BBC 1), Lost Kingdoms of Africa (BBC 4),  Britain’s Last Wilderness (BBC 1), Stephen Fry: The Secret Life of the Manic Depressive (BBC 2), Robbie Coltrane’s B-Road Britain (ITV), Extreme Fishing with Robson Green (Channel 5), and Paddy & Rory’s Great British Adventure (Channel 5).
