ITV Studios has appointed Jemma Harvey as Executive Vice President, EMEA & UK Sales and Distribution.

Reporting directly to Tom Clark, EVP Global Sales & Commercial Strategy, she moves into the role with immediate effect after leading the EMEA Tape Sales team on an interim basis for the past five months.

In her new role, she will be responsible for leading EMEA and UK sales teams. Her remit includes the distribution of ITV Studios’ 100,000+ hour catalogue and managing relationships with global streaming platforms and local broadcasters. She will also lead all co-production opportunities for key regional clients and drive new initiatives to maximise the value of the portfolio across digital and linear platforms. Her first festival attendance in her new role will be Series Mania.

Harvey joined ITV Studios in 2022 as an SVP, Scripted, Global Content, where she covered Kate Barnes’ role during her secondment to ITVX. Following Barnes’ return, her responsibilities expanded as she became SVP, Scripted Global Content and Co-Productions. She continued to work alongside Barnes in this role, whilst leading the co-production strategy globally, and working closely with the Los Angeles and London sales teams. Recent co-production and pre-sale deals Harvey has brokered include agreements for Winter with PBS Masterpiece, Ludwig and Code of Silence with BritBox, The Forsytes with C5, as well as being instrumental in securing The Hack with Arte, and Ludwig with ZDF in EMEA.

Tom Clark, EVP, Global Sales & Commercial Strategy at ITV Studios, said, “Having been a valued member of the ITV Studios team for almost four years, I’m absolutely delighted that Jemma Harvey is taking up the role of EVP EMEA & UK. She has already proven herself to be an exceptional commercial leader and her strong background in international content financing, co-productions, and sales makes her an ideal fit for the position.”

Speaking of her new appointment Jemma Harvey said, “I’m thrilled to step into this role and continue working with the talented teams across ITV Studios. As the UK and EMEA markets rapidly evolve, I’m looking forward to strengthening our partnerships with broadcasters and platforms, expanding co-production opportunities and maximising the value of our content across the region”.

Prior to joining ITV, Harvey spent 20 years at BBC Studios, rising to SVP, Sales & Co-Productions Americas, based in New York, where she led the scripted sales team. During this time, she brokered an array of co-production deals including I May Destroy You (HBO), His Dark Materials (HBO) and End of the F***ing World (Netflix), as well as executing package deals with Amazon, Hulu and Netflix, and a 9-figure multi-year output deal with HBO Max.  Prior to that, she worked for BBC Studios in London where she held a number of positions, most recently Head of Content & Development, Digital, where she was responsible for negotiating a partnership with YouTube, managing the company’s relationships with other digital partners such as iTunes, and negotiating with talent agents and independent production companies for the acquisition of digital distribution rights. She relocated back to London in 2021 before joining ITV Studios in July 2022.
